The Inspiration Behind the Collection

Hey Family,

How are you? We're back again with more additions to our signature collection "The Solution Is". We wanted to add something that would give flare, while also being functional pieces that could be worn every day.

This is our version of "subtle" protest in the wake of so many stories shared daily of injustices against black people as a whole, but more importantly black women.

Often times it has become our responsibility to pick up the fragmented pieces of our worlds and those that are closest to us, that have been shattered by societalstandards and injustices that can at times make us feel powerless.

Recently, we read the news of the of the justice department closing the investigation of the Emmett Till case with no charges to anyone involved. All I can think of is the agony Emmett's mother Mamie Till faced for the duration of her life never being able to have a victory over the brutal murder of her son. Can you imagine how many black mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts, and sisters have experienced such a loss? How can we cope, and live to see a future for ourselves when traumatic experiences like this occur?

Sure, bad things happen to everyone in their lifetime, however the devasting and often frightening experiences faced by black mothers, and families has been generational for centuries on end.
